Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is derived from your own blood and contains a concentrated mix of platelets rich in growth factors. These growth factors stimulate cell regeneration, reduce inflammation, and jumpstart the repair process in injured tissues, joints, and skin. PRP is commonly used to treat orthopedic conditions, support recovery, and enhance aesthetic outcomes like hair restoration and skin rejuvenation.

How does it work?
PRP is  a minimally invasive procedure that can  be performed in-office

  • Blood Collection: A small sample of your blood is drawn, similar to a routine lab test.
  • Centrifugation: The blood is spun in a centrifuge to separate  and concentrate the platelets from other blood components.
  • PRP Extraction: The platelet-rich layer is carefully isolated to create a concentrated solution rich in healing factors.
  • Targeted Injection: The PRP is injected into the area needing healing support.

Are there any risks?
PRP therapy is generally considered very safe because it uses your own blood, minimizing the risk of allergic reactions. That said, as with any injection-based procedure, there are minor risks, including:

  • Mild pain or discomfort at the injection site.
  • Bruising or minor bleeding.
  • Infection (rare).
  • Tissue or nerve sensitivity (very rare).

Most patients experience little to no downtime and can return to their usual activities the same day.
